Guinness record certified as the largest kite in the world, the American MegaFlag kite appears only at the Grants Pass Balloon & Kite Festival, and nowhere else in the world. You won’t want to miss this experience.

Morning Balloon Launches

A truly magical moment. Hot air balloons are inspiring and uplifting… that is if you can make it out of bed at the break of dawn!

NOTE: Balloon launches are subject to weather conditions. If wind is not ideal, the launch will be moved to an alternate location, which will be posted on Facebook.

Balloon Tethered Rides

Tethered ride customers must sign a Liability Waiver the day of flight. The following terms and conditions also apply: Standing, walking, and sitting assistance devices, such as walkers, crutches, or wheel chairs (list is not complete), are not permitted. Passenger weight may not exceed 200lbs. Passengers above this weight will be handled on a case by case basis. Passengers must be able to see over the edge of the basket (approximately 36 inches high). No toddlers or infants.

Balloon Night Glow

Balloons lighting up the dark skies… photo-worthy, to say the least. Night glows will be held both Friday and Saturday. Gates will be open all evening. Performances begins at dusk, and end by 11:00 pm.

Grants Pass launches it’s Balloon & Kite Festival with a spectacular aerial show that features morning balloon flights, tethered balloon rides, a 10,000 sf American Flag kite, colorful giant kites in special shapes, food vendors and other kid-friendly activities, music and entertainment for all ages. Come at dawn and stay until dark. It’s the Southern Oregon community event of 2019 you won’t want to miss!
